As a small-batch neckwear and accessories designer, it is a constant struggle to find the best and most inspiring raw material from which to ply my craft.
Recently, I took matters into my own hands and began designing custom embroidery patterns, some of which were used on the Kentucky Derby bow ties.
Now I'm expanding the notion to include neckties,...three examples of which are offered in the web store.
I'm captivated by the old loom process where "slubs" occur in fairly unpredictable but delightful ways. Japanese denim is cherished because of the perfect imperfections that give it great character and depth. This serves as inspiration for what you see in this example above.
